Zeitgeist movie --the followup

We watched Zeitgeist tonight. It was a very powerful movie, really-- it went through a lot of different factors and considered the whole world and how it works.
I asked everyone to talk about what they learned from the movie that they did not know:
I had heard most of the material in this movie before, but not assembled in this way. I felt this movie would make a good introduction to these concepts.
I could say this film reinforced my feelings.
I thought it was stimulating and interesting in a lot of ways. I've just published a book on this topic called "Control", about people who have an excessive need to control other people and things, and about people who allow themselves to be controlled by other people.
I was interested in part III and the Fed system. The control of everything, including our food, housing, and drink, is very scary. I thikn we tend to kind of lose sight of how structures are put in place that are working anonymously, and we look for people to blame--we have a constant constitution of class power. I didn't know that GB's grandfather was working with Nazis. I do think that sometimes, the way of looking at things may need a little more structure than this movie does--put the focus on the process rather than th eplayers that made that process look this way.
What do you see as the limitations of the film, what do you see that is good about it? I like the fear vs love concept, but fear and love can get mixed up sometimes too, esp with religion.
I was raised by fundamentalist christians, and it is this background which got me interested in the information in part three-- we all share an interest in the money flow. I had never heard about the amero or the north american union.
I had just seen MyTV video about the lucifer project, a spaceship we've launched to hit saturn in july. I thought this wasn't real--but there's stuff online. Some of this is cultish and it bugs me a little bit too in that respect ,but I think the fear and fun lesson was very effective as well.
I was versed in parts i, ii, and iii, and when you study religion you also learn history--it's a two sided thing. I would say that my readings of numerous books and sources. I learned about the founding of the federal reserve bank from this movie, and how JP Morgan and his associated made this law, during christmas. That was an interesting learning-- and how the panic of 1907, he was credited as the savior of the economy, but he in fact created the problem.
I knew a little about parts 1 and 2, but part 3 was nearly all new to me. Partly because part 2 whether its right or wrong I was deeply saddened by what i saw.
I'm trying to filter through all theinformation to pick one thing that I learned, sitting here processing everything and trying to pick out what I find to be sensationalism and where the truth is or will be. There are many truths, some that are difficult to accept and some --the piece for me, what moveed me to action is choosing love over fear, where can it go from here is what I'm thinking.
How can we use the change?
I don't want to accept that this has to be the way it is--what's my role in that, and how ca nI affect change?
This movie was distributed all over--
I saw this movie in a different order, 3, 1, 2-- I might have stopped if I hadn't seen part 3 first, because part 1 really shows a lot of disturbing images which, had I seen them first, I might have just stopped. I already know, like, we were told all the time the media, the media, everything you see on tv and the news, this just really brought that forward, making me so aware, esp. with the elections seeing how much the media is manipulated by certain people.
When they talk about the constitution, if things go as planned, it will be obsolete. Our own president refers to it as obsolete. It's amazing, we do have elected people in congress that do stand by the constitution and whatnot, but they're varied in terms of that, and kept out of the media sometimes. Just to see some of the things that they talk to in this.
Boy I'm still soaking this in, I watched it yesterday morning, got it to play on my laptop--George Carlin's bit in there was great. I could never understand how love could be built on hate and discrimination--continuity--a lot of this information I was aware of whether I believed it or not which when you look at it, you can piece it together in a timeline. I wlil be going out to investigate more of it to verify those things. If I do find more trust, I'm going to be even more insulted than I am now. I come from a long time of soldiers, my grandparents served, it goes a way back to the Revolutionary War. When the Patriot Act came out. How do we get started with organization? How do we get people to get knowledgeable about this?
a lot of the stuff that was shown in the movie is new to me. I've seen what everyone else has seen and never put it all together. One thing I do want to say is that there is several sides to anything--take everything--I've been part of situations where I've had to go several things to make sense of the whole. I keep a very open mind. I learned that from this--keep a really open mind and a feeling of compassion and concern for who this movie was about. I would not to be the Rockefellers beyond this existence. I'm very upset to know that people can even in theory can g oat that level. It's very humbling, I'm alays critical of myself, but I don't do that.
I didn't know a lot of this stuff--it was new to me, I might have to see it again, to gte some of the ideas in mind. I've never seen Christianity matched against egyptian religion before, nad that was interesting, about the federal reserve-- I'd never heard ot the Amero.
Responses:
Part I:
I've read a lot of different mythologies, and I think they all have valid parts within them, and I don't subscribe to any of them wholesale. All beliefs have something valid in them, but it is institutionally based, it can become a problem. A lot of it is systemic, institutionally based, where there are underlying actions, when the people woh make wealth have the ability to control what happens, they are not thinking about my intentions, or your intentions, or your intentions. And they end up doing a lot of bad things--stealing, killing, etc, exerting control and power where it is just wrong.
part III is definitely where I'm most interested. You can split hairs about religion all you want, that's just another thing meant to divide us. You can split hairs about a lot of things. There's a lot of information out there tha'ts hard to get to, unless you consciously seek it as an inividual or someone brings it to you. I work at the Medical college, and 98% of the people in that building get all info from the TV, never read the paper, and dont' read books. All I hear them talking about is the American Idol, and Brett Favre.
I think that's a proble, when our society is used to kill people with different races and backgrounds. There are bigger things that we nee dto worry about.
Where do we go from here?
Responsibility. Take responsibliity for your own life, from the water you drink to the food you eat to how you spend your money. What you spend your time doing, the attention you put into the activities you're doing, and it has to start on a small scale--a new president isn't going to change anything.
How do we take responsibility?
I was recently running for alderperson--I didn't make it through the primary but I learne da lot and ended up learning the most about water, because I started researching it because i'd been involved in stopping developing on the river, and the ecosystem there, and the sewage dumping, and so on. I dont know if anyone has read recently, we have a lot of drugs in the water. The chipping of people--they can inject a chip in you with needle. I am not getting any more shots!
