The First 100 Days

As of Sunday, April 13, Bucketworks has been open at 1340 North 6th Street for 100 days. I thought it might be appropriate to look back at how far we've come in just that short time.

  • We explored the physical space, discovering how it can benefit the Bucketworks organization as a whole as well as our members.
  • We networked with scores of new people and organizations, and rekindled some old connections.
  • We re-opened the Quasi-Cafe in the lobby
  • We hosted teams and groups as they strengthened their collaborative muscles
  • We began the Professional Membership program and began building a community around it

In addition, our members have:

  • Hosted a multitude of classes
  • Produced theatrical works
  • Generated dialogue about current events
  • Began a community art project
  • Explored ways of developing the New Web

And much much more.
Thanks to all who have made the first hundred days so very successful and enjoyable. Now start working on the next hundred days. And the hundred after that. There really is no limit to what people can create, discover, and learn in this environment, and we'll all be there to help each other along the way.
Comment on this post with your ideas for the future. Who knows? Your ideas might help someone else jump-start theirs. And Bucketworks can be the jumper-cables

PS: We're also approaching the Sixth Anniversary of Bucketworks as an organization: we opened our doors on May 22, 2002!
